What you’re buying.
A premium fence board, not a commodity one. It's kiln-dried, so most of the water is already out of the wood — it comes off the pile drier, lighter and straighter, and it holds its shape instead of cupping and twisting the way a wet green board does through its first Ontario summer.
The brown colour is built into the treatment, not brushed on at the yard — a uniform, finished look the day it goes up, with no staining step and no blotchy patches to chase later. Rated for above-ground use, which is exactly what a fence picket is.
It's the same board we pick through to build our own fence panels, so what you buy by the piece is what we'd stand behind on a finished panel.
