A cedar fence panel is a finished section of fence: Western Red Cedar boards already fastened to rails inside a frame, ready to hang between posts set 96 in. on centre. Cedar earns its price on its own. The heartwood carries oils that rot and insects avoid, so it needs no chemical treatment and no stain to last, and it moves about half as much as pine through an Ontario year, which is what keeps a panel square. Left alone it ages to silver-grey in a season or two; a penetrating oil holds the amber. The posts are the one place cedar is the wrong wood, so every panel hangs on brown pressure-treated 4×4s, 10 ft for a 6 ft fence. Standing heights run from 67.5 in. for the solid face to 72 in. for the good neighbour, printed on every product page and in the table below.
