Our commitment, and where we currently fall short.

NorthStar aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA on every public page and dealer-portal flow. This statement describes that commitment and what we haven't reached yet — we'd rather tell you than not.

Last updated 2026-04-10

01Standards we target

Public marketing pages (this site): WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Dealer portal (authenticated): WCAG 2.2 Level AA on all transactional flows (ordering, invoices, warranty claims). Reporting and analytics dashboards target Level A with AA scheduled for Q3 2026.
Printed product literature (spec sheets, installation guides): 12-point minimum type, high-contrast pairs, plain-language body copy at Grade 10 or lower.

02Known gaps

The PDP pricing table uses a colour-only distinction for in-stock vs. preview status. We plan to add a text label in Q2 2026.
The dealer portal analytics dashboard uses chart visualisations without text-equivalent summaries. On the 2026 roadmap.
Our 2026 Q1 product photography has missing alt text on three images at /press. Fix scheduled for the April copy refresh.

03How to report an issue

Email [email protected] with the URL, a screenshot if relevant, and a description of the problem. A human responds within two business days.
For urgent blockers (you cannot place an order, file a warranty claim, or reach a dealer), phone (450) 357-7010 and we will take your request by voice.

04Design decisions that matter

Body copy sets at 16px or larger across the site. We don't use type smaller than 12px anywhere on public pages.
Interactive elements have a visible focus ring (3px Polaris gold at 35% opacity) on every state.
We never communicate state with colour alone — icons and text labels pair with every colour signal in our dealer tooling.
Our typography substitutes (Source Serif 4, Inter Tight) are selected in part for high-contrast legibility at small sizes; numerals are tabular for spec tables.

05Compliance statement

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, due to the known gaps above. We conduct an internal accessibility audit each quarter and contract an external audit annually.
