Sustainability

Wood is the plan. We’re telling you where it comes from.

Our sustainability approach is structural, not marketing. We source FSC-certified fibre, ship flat, pack in kraft, and publish the numbers that let you check our work.

Six commitments
01
FSC-certified fibre, no exceptions

Every board that enters our mill carries a FSC chain-of-custody number. We file the audit documents with every annual FSC review.

02
400 km fibre radius for cedar

Our Western Red Cedar is sourced within 400 km of a Canadian railhead that connects to Saint-Jean. No boat-delivered tropicals, no clear-cut imports.

03
Kraft-only packaging

Pallet bands and corner protectors are uncoated kraft paper, not stretch wrap. Dealers can compost or recycle all packaging curb-side.

04
ACQ, not CCA

Our PT stock is ACQ-treated (copper + azole). We do not, and will not, buy or treat with CCA (chromated copper arsenate).

05
Sawdust recovery

94% of mill sawdust is recovered and sold to regional cattle-bedding co-ops and pellet plants. Target is 97% by 2028.

06
Ship flat, load full

Every truck leaves the yard at ≥92% legal weight. Flat-packing cuts a full third off the trailer count per thousand panels.

Published numbers

The parts we can measure today.

We’ll be honest about what we can’t yet measure. Scope-3 emissions are under external audit for Q4 2026. Until that’s done we’re publishing our own operating numbers as a baseline.
