What you’re buying.
The lattice crown: a brown-treated 1×8 lattice strip that tops the solid section of a lattice-top fence, one per 8 ft section, and does the same job on a privacy screen or a pergola side. Over 5 ft fence boards it makes a 6 ft lattice-top run, the same idea as our lattice-top panels: privacy where you stand, light and air over the fence line.
It sits in a channel: a 1×1 nailing strip either side of the lattice, on the top rail below and under a cap rail above. Fasten with hot-dipped galvanised or stainless nails and coat any cut edge with an end-cut preservative. Sold by the piece for pickup at our Bolton yard.
