What you’re buying.
The nailing strip, also sold as a furring or strapping strip: a brown-treated 1×1, a true ¾ in. square, 8 ft long to match a section. On a lattice-top fence it forms the channel the lattice sits in, one strip either side of the lattice on the top rail and another pair under the cap rail, about four per 8 ft section. On a panel it is the strip the boards and lattice fasten to.
Fasten with hot-dipped galvanised or stainless nails, the same as every treated piece. Sold by the piece for pickup at our Bolton yard.
